PHRI Therapist
I am a Brooklyn-born New Yorker, daughter to a Peruvian mother and American father, which uniquely positions me to understand the feeling of navigating life between two worlds.
I specialize in working with people who are seeking their own unique, inner sense of security and balance. We all have multiple roles and parts of our identities which may sometimes feel as though they conflict, leaving us feeling anxious and out of place, neither here nor there, not “this” enough or “that” enough, whether in the context of the corporate world, interpersonal relationships, creative projects, or within one or more of our identified cultures. I am drawn to supporting Latinx and other BIPOC identifying folks to embrace our own power through knowing, integrating and amplifying our many, varied and spectacular facets.
Rooted in my own lived experiences with plant medicines and expanded states of consciousness, I also work with those interested in integrating plant medicines and psychedelics into their therapeutic journey. While it is not yet legal in New York to provide or administer most plant medicines and psychedelics, I work from a Harm Reduction and Integration approach to create an intentional plan and supportive space that empowers my patients in utilizing these medicines to activate their inner healing capacity.
My goal is to support you through self-doubts and along your healing journey by helping you uncover limiting beliefs and by enfranchising your innate wisdoms. I approach therapy from an antiracist framework and believe that when we take the time to allow ourselves to be introspective, to be vulnerable, and to meet ourselves with compassion – rather than guilt and/or shame – that is the catalyst for profound change. Therapy cannot be a one-size-fits model, as we all have unique intergenerational histories and parts of ourselves that make us the dynamic people we are. My clinical approach is uniquely tailored to each individual’s needs and develops over time as our collaborative therapeutic journey unfolds.
Meaningful growth and healing takes commitment, patience and a tremendous amount of courage. It is my privilege to partner with my patients’ in the process of awakening their self-attunement and honoring their authentic whole selves. I look forward to connecting with you.
